I used to come home from work, crack open a beer, and turn on PBS to catch Bob Ross and decompress. All his talk of “happy little plants and trees”, along with his stunning talent, was calming.
He always called you “friend”, and closed every show with “God Bless”.
Nice guy.
TXMarko, same here. Some might have thought it a cheesy show but I liked it and thought he was a real talent who didn’t believe he was better than everyone else. Good man. God Bless him.
Brilliant! Oh man, I loved this as much as those smoky afternoons spent with Bob, friendly trees and happy clouds. I miss Bob. and friendly trees.
RIP, indeed. A man who wasn’t too pretentious to do what he loved.
