Interesting idea but have you considered that the states with the highest obesity rates are West Virginia, Louisiana, and Mississippi? What would account for that? http://www.cdc.gov/nccdphp/dnpa/obesity/trend/maps/

In America our poor people are fat.

We have that much food.

3. Paul - November 6, 2006

And tons of poor people

And tons of poor people

…fed by welfare. Actually, though, our poor people aren’t too badly off. And many of these are certainly not underfed.

Lazy poor people Paul. That we oppress.

Oppression is really the best part.

Poor people generally don’t cook either. I’ve made Thanksgiving food deliveries to families who have 3 TVs, an Xbox, but no working oven. They use their food stamps to buy Twinkies, Cheetos, microwave dinners and cartons of pop.

High calorie foodstuffs indeed.

See how well we oppress our poor?

Tonight they are all sated, with popcorn and Oreos.

Let them eat cake………..or oreo’s.

There is all this stuff about “fat” and “carbo’s” and shit that defines obesity.

There is also this thing about “strong teeth” being based on brushing.

However, we’ve had teeth a lot longer than we had toothbrushes. And such.

One “theory” actually an archaelogicaly proven truth, is that our ability to gain weight, and suffer from orthodontic weakness is based on over processed food.

we don’t need to chew our food anymore, it’s basicaly been chewed by the miles, or by the meat grinders that touch our food before we eat it.

Since our food is already relatively fine, we don’t have to chew it so much, so we aren’t cleaning our teeth by chewing on unprocessed foods as we did before we became industrialized. We are gaining weight, because our body doesn’t have to produce so much energy in the digestion of that food.

We are fat, and rotten because we have machines doing a fair bit of the digestion for us. Then again, I can look forward to living about 80 years, with no teeth, and not having to worry about choking on food or being eaten by a better fed predator.

So, it’s a trade-off.

If I could guarantee that I would live to 90, by having all my teeth pulled, and replaced by dentures, while being a short fat pig at the age of 12.

Or living till 35 while being an 100% organist (though that 100% is more like 40% but the whole potato, maize, tomato and other things don’t count in the greenie world) I will take 80 years of life, with 70 years of plastic chompers.
