Almost two years ago, in August 2005, investigators raided Jefferson’s home in Louisiana and found $90,000 in cash stuffed into a box in his freezer.
Remember the convictions?
Two of Jefferson’s associates have already struck plea bargains with prosecutors and have been sentenced.

In May 2006, the FBI raided Jefferson’s congressional office, the first such raid on a sitting congressman’s Capitol office. That move sparked a constitutional debate over whether the executive branch stepped over its boundary.

Jefferson will go down on this one. The feds got former LA governor Edwin Edwards and now they will get Jefferson. It’s about time justice is served. These lawmakers who are crying of the legality of such a search are afraid because many of them have had their hands in the cookie jar I’m sure.

Only Republicans get punished.
Dems get admonishments, and fines usually smaller than the money they got caught with.
Berger gets a pass, but Scooter will probably receive the Death Penalty upon appeal.
