Inclusive and accepting Texas Senate invites Muslim cleric to lead invocation on Senate floor April 6, 2007

National news?

Yeah, it’s national news, because one “stuffy” Republican Senator had the guts to walk out on it.  And is receiving nothing but criticism for his action.  He has “embarassed” the State of Texas and the Texas Senate.

Senator Florence Shapiro, R-Plano invited Imam Yusef Kavakci to open the Senate session this past Tuesday.  She claims she cannot fathom Senator Dan Patrick’s (R-Houston) refusal to stay and participate.

Patrick, who is a conservative talk-show host turned state senator, was given an opportunity after the session concluded to explain his actions.

“It is important that we are tolerant of all faiths as a people, but that does not mean we have to endorse all faiths – and that was my decision”

The media is castigating him as an intolerant conservative, with bad manners to boot.

But no report contains one sentence of the Imam’s prayer.  They are illuminating.

”Oh, Allah, guide us to the straight path, the path of those whom you have favored, not of those who have earned your wrath or of those who have lost the way,”

I will decode for you.  The favored = Muslims.  Those who have earned your wrath = me and the rest of you infidels.

“In the name of god, Allah, the beneficent, the merciful. All praise is for Allah, our lord, the lord of the worlds, the compassionate, the merciful, master of the day of judgments. Oh, god, Allah, you alone we worship, and you alone we call on for help. Oh, Allah, guide us to the straight path, the path of those whom you have favored, not of those who have earned your wrath or of those who have lost the way. Our lord, have mercy on us from yourself and guide us in our efforts, strivings, and works.”

Allow me to further decode.  You alone = you’re the only God Allah.  Nobody but you.

But here’s the winner.  “Guide us to the straight path, the path of those you have favored”.

That my friends is a call to Islam.

Now, call me crazy, but if Brother Bob Earl from First Baptist Dave’s hometown had been in there on Tuesday, rejecting all other faiths, and proseletyzing for Christianity, do you think maybe the NY Times would be having conniptions right now, along with CNN, Larry King, and the rest of the gang?

Yeah, you’re right.  I’m crazy.

A recording of the prayer is also available at Thoughts of a Conservative, where I found one of the few transcripts available.

Oh, the prayer was delivered as part of the Senate’s third “Texas Muslim Legislative Day”, whatever that is.

I plan to go as soon as they announce Texas Lutheran Legislative Day.  I’ll bring some potato salad, and lutefisk.

Whatever lutefisk is.  I’m bringin it.

UPDATE:  Some information coming up about a Dallas Morning News article from 2005, that criticizes the Imam for distributing “hate” literature in his mosque in Dallas.  I’ll study up on it, but I’m sure it was all just “Watchtower ala sweetness and light”.

It usually is.

UPDATE 2: Yep.  Fellow Texan Bryan over at Hot Air (thanks for the link) points out it’s the same douchebag cleric who prayed all nasty sweet at the Democratic winter meeting a while back.  Nice to have a feller from the ROP™ givin me a head’s up on who it is in Texas who earns Allah’s wrath.  Thanks!

Meanwhile my moron Senators sit and nod and pat themselves on the back for being all open and nice.

Muslim Imam delivers thin-veiled radical prayer at Texas Capital

Dave in Texas has a great article up describing the recent prayer at the Texas Senate from that same ass-hat imam who prayed at the Democrat’s winter meeting not too long ago. Dave hits the nail right on the head…

Let me get this straight: earlier this week my first grader informed me that she was not allowed to pray in school (Frisco, TX). Reason given? Separation of church and state. The irony… By the way, I told her she can pray whenever and wherever she wants — we will not submit…

God bless Senator Dan for getting up and walking out on the “Come to Allah infidel scum” senate invocation speech. And, of course, by God I mean the Christian God.

The sanctimonious press who ignored the Imam’s words need to have their fatwas kicked.

Good Job, Senator Dan Patrick!

What’s her name? Senator Florence Shapiro? She’s a total Dhimmi idiot! And, ironically, a total JEWISH Dhimmi idiot!

Hey Flo – don’t you know these are the people, Muslims, who want to wipe your kind, Jews, off the face of the earth? How utterly stupid and uninformed you are, just like all PC idiots.
